Three speeches Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered from April 1967 to February 1968 regarding America’s role in the Vietnam War: “Vietnam and the Struggle for Human Rights” (April 1967), "The Domestic Impact of the War in Vietnam" (November 11, 1967), and
"Vietnam Is Upon Us" (February 6, 1968).King's pivot from civil rights leader to critic of foreign policy may have been a catalyst for his enemies, who began to fear his influence on the national and international stage: The last speech, "Vietnam Is Upon Us," was delivered two months before his assassination.
