New York: The Museum of Modern Art, 1938. First Edition. Near Fine/Near Fine. First edition, first printing. Bound in publisher's ribbed black cloth with paper label to spine. Near Fine with faint bump to upper edge of first 30 or so pages. In a Near Fine dust jacket with very light toning and soiling to areas not covered by the original printed yellow belly band. A sterling example, quite scarce in such beautiful condition, with the bookplate of Arkham House co-founder Donald Wandrei laid in. Based on the landmark Museum of Modern Art Exhibition of Evans' work. Uncommon in such nice condition. (Inventory #: 140947267)
