Racconto di Natale [A Christmas Carol]

Full green binding stamped in gilt with holly leaves & lettering to spine, and elves swinging on bell chains to front cover, top edge stained green, illustrated endpapers, title page printed in red & black ink, eight full color illustrations as called for, plus black & white illustrations & decorations, 8-1/8" x 6", 190 pp. Minor bump to bottom front corner, pages unopened, gilt very bright. Not dated, though the first Rackham edition was produced in 1915. Because the book has never been read it feels newer than that. There is a small pencil note on the front endpaper "12.29 TVax" which might indicate a 1929 Christmas edition; feels about right. (Inventory #: 201647)
