An 18th century copy of the much revived 17th Century play based on an Alphra Behn novel about an African tricked into slavery in the West Indies who then leads a slave revolt. 8vo. 21 by 13 cm. Title leaf, v-x, [2], 60 pp. Complete, notwithstanding odd pagination in copy. Counted in the roman numeral pagination are the two pages, unpaginated, between pagination schemes, with the Prologue and the Dramatis Personae. No binding, although one can see traces of the former spine. First two leaves are loose. Foxing throughout, heavy on a few pages, and otherwise light. Some rough edges, first and last few leaves.
