A translation of the memorial of the Portuguese Franciscan missionary Alonso De Benavides. Benavides was the third head of the mission churches of New Mexico. Number 261 in an edition limited to 300 copies. This printing is notable for its gravure illustrations of photographs by Charles F. Lummis, Adam Clark Vroman, and John Karl Hillers.
