Near Fine with light creasing, toning, and foxing to wraps, small abrasion to front cover from label removal, and foxing to textblock edges. Contents lightly toned. A collection of communications from the spirit world, shared with the family via Lady Doyle between 1921 and 1926. The titular Pheneas was an Arabian spirit guide who became a favorite of the family: "Our family life would lose something very precious and essential," wrote Doyle in his preface, "if the bright presence of Pheneas were withdrawn.
