Dust jacket separated along spine and in two pieces; spine mostly perished; chipping and toning to edges; splits to folds, quite fragile and brittle. Boards show light wear to extremities and binding sound. Pages toned; bookseller ticket to rear free endpaper (Caravan Book Shop of St. Louis.) Very Good with a fair dust jacket.
Signed card from Teasdale is dated June 3, 1927, addressed to a Katie Sheldon, and after preliminary thank yous, continues "I often remember your kindness and sweetness to a rather lonely little girl thirty odd years ago. What good times I had making scrapbooks with your help!... I think sometimes of the fragrant smell of tobacco that you always had in your house, and of the stories of Frank R. Stockton that you read to me." A warm and touching note from the Pulitzer Prize-winning poet. (Inventory #: 32608)
