Three short stories by the author of Anna Karenina, War and Peace, and The Death of Ivan Ilyich, originally published in 1886. Includes a preface by translator Count Norraikow, Ivan the Fool, A Lost Opportunity, and Polikushka. Engraved illustrations by Valerian Gribayedoff (who was a journalist most famous for introducing illustrated drawings into newspapers) precede each story. Scarce in trade, and we found no auction records.
