Garrett's first published book, a skeptical look at Wall Street in eleven brief chapters, with headings such as "The Hall of Delusions," "The Hoodoo," "The Manipulator," "The Wall Street Wolf," etc. Garrett went on to a long career as a journalist and right-wing commentator, noted especially for his vituperative attacks on FDR and the New Deal which appeared in a regular series of articles in the Saturday Evening Post throughout the Great Depression.
