One of Carl Sandburg’s (1878-1967) Rootabaga Stories, first published in 1922. Sandburg was a Pulitzer Prize-winning author, poet, biographer, and journalist whose work influenced the early to mid-20th century. Colorful and imaginative illustrations throughout by Harriet Pincus (b. 1938), whose papers are housed in the du Grummond Collection at the University of Southern Mississippi.
