A nice example of the early "cartonera" style of handmade Latin American poetry chapbooks using humble materials, especially cardboard covers. Ediciones el Mendrugo, founded by Argentine poet Elena Jordana in the early 1970s, is thought to be among the chief innotators of the form, which has been widely replicated thoughout the region. As of January 2025, OCLC finds only threeholdings in the US, at NYU and University of New Mexico. (Inventory #: 774)
