Includes nearly 50 pages of patriotic and other popular tunes to play on piano and sing with friends and family. Features a charming illustration on the upper cover titled "Pleasant Interruption", in which a beautiful young woman in an apron leans against her cream separator machine while a young man courts her over the porch railing. A nice example of how companies marketed to American families by appealing to their love of communal music-making and traditional family values. Single vol. (8.5" by 5.75"), pp. 3-50, in original illus. wrps. This copy lacking at least one leaf. Pencil ownership inscription to upper wrapper. Ink stamps to upper wrapper and p.3.
