The volume contains: Title-pages for Volumes 1,4, and 6; three engraved frontispieces in color, one of Poe, one of Poe's house in Philadelphia, and one illustrating "The Mystery of Marie Roget"; engravings and facsimiles of the 1st and 4th covers of "Tamerlane"; full-page illustrations from "Hans Pfall", "Berenice", "The Gold Bug", "Words with a Mummy", "The Black Cat", The Pit and the Pendulum", and several others. Black and white illustrations of Washington College University Hospital in Baltimore and Poe's Cottage in Fordham, NY. Text samples from "Scenes from Potitian (sic)" and "The Murders in the Rue Morgue". A very clean copy throughout.. Deep Red Pebbled Cloth. Light Corner and Edge Wear/No Dust Jacket.
