Overall, a great copy. Agatha Christie's 1958 detective novel Ordeal by Innocence follows the re-opening of a murder investigation two years after the accused was tried and sentenced to prison. Key witness Arthur Calgary discovers that he was with the accused at the time of the murder and tasks himself with uncovering the truth. The book was criticized at the time of its publication for being too psychological, however, more recent reviews cite it as one of Christie's best works of the 1950s. Christie herself sometimes referred to Ordeal by Innocence as her favorite work.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Dust Jacket Included. (Inventory #: AC105)
