Oblong quarto; bound in burgundy morocco over marbled boards; with 36 leaves of plates, including the half-title and title leaves; one plate [#8, Prometheus Chain’d ] is trimmed a bit close at the top edge; the is wear to the leading edges of the marbled paper-covered boards; the corners of the boards have wear; spine with raised bands with decorative rules in gilt, lettered in gilt.~~John Flaxman was one of the leading figures in English neoclassical art. Very Good binding.
