Brown cloth over boards with photographically illustrated paper labels to the front and rear boards. Light rubbing to the extremities. Inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper: "To_____ / Friends from Pueblo / October 21, 1939 / 'The Desert Rat' / Max Kegly." Photojournalist Max Kegley specialized in Arizona's peoples and landscapes. He is most known for his photographs of cowboys, Native Americans, rodeo sheep drives, and Arizona's unique topography.
