One of 1500 copies, duodecimo size, 112 pp. signed by Gustave Nebel. Henry James (1843-1916) was an American author who wrote in the genre of both literary realism and modernism and is best known for his novels "Portrait of a Lady" and "The Ambassadors"; his works examine the often inscrutable relationships between characters. "Daisy Miller" is a novella that deals with both the interior motives of the characters' psyches and the outward traditions and prejudices encountered in society.
