John Edward Borein (1872-1945) was an early cowboy artist from California, who began drawing and sketching as a youth, and worked on cattle ranches as a teenager. He worked on the land for two decades. Like his friends Charles M. Russell and Maynard Dixon, Borein was considered one of the most popular artists of western scene painting. (Inventory #: 69290)
