Large fold-out map present in volume 1. Moderate rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Several small faded spots to the boards. Some light spotting to the backstrip of volume 1. Bookseller's ticket on the rear pastedowns. Contemporary gift inscription on the front flyleaf of volume 1. With upwards of Three Hundred Pen-and-Ink Sketches from Nature, by Carl Eytel. Eytel (1862-1925) was a German–American artist who lived in Palm Springs, California, and built his reputation for paintings and drawings of desert landscapes.
