Oxford: Leon Lichfield, 1672 (and) 1671. Continuously paginated with "Easy and Compendious" is a second work by Prideaux, "The History of Successions" which has its own title page, dated 1670. The third title, "Synopsis" is by Matthias's father, John. Wing 3444. Bound in contemporary blindstamped calf with gilt cover decoration (crest of the Earl of Lindsey) front and rear boards, raised bands, and gilt spine decoration. Worming in lower corner of last few pages, not affecting text, which is clean. Spine label lacking, spine ends worn. Ownership signature in two places of Charles Bertie, 1699.. 19.5 cm.
