Cloth a little rubbed and dulled, hinges just starting, without dust-jacket. Bookplate of Charles Shaw on front paste down. Franked check in fine condition, signed by Jack London, laid in.

§ First edition, second issue with cancel title page. A good copy with some binding irregularities, perhaps accounting for the missing plate. The check of the Merchants National Bank of San Francisco is dated December 22, 1911 and is made out to "Casli" for $500 and bold signed by Jack London. BAL 11896. (Inventory #: 126632)
