Bound in publisher's dark green pebble stamped in blind and gilt with brown-coated endpapers. Very Good with lean to binding, shallow loss at crown with small tear at base of spine, rubbing to covers and slight bumping to corners. Worming to text block edges, hinges exposed with rear hinge repaired. Gift inscriptions at first blank and toning throughout contents. Alcott's novel featuring the teenage Polly Milton, first serialized in the Merry Museum's magazine between July and August 1869. (Inventory #: 140948018)
