This is a General Court Martial Order issued out of Hawaii's Schofield Barracks in January 1926 which dealt with the charge of sodomy.
In November 1925, the court initially found a soldier guilty of violating the 93rd Article of War for “the crime of sodomy, by feloniously and against the order of nature, having carnal connection with Private *******” and sentenced the soldier to ten years of hard labor. The order goes on to state that after the case was reviewed by the Board of Review and the Judge Advocate General, the sentence was reduced to six years.
