However, she was the author of “A Woman’s Trek From the Cape to Cairo”, published in 1907, about her journey from Cape Town, South Africa to Cairo, Egypt, i.e., from one end of Africa to the other. "A Woman in the Antiopodes and in the Far East", about her travels through New Zealand, Australia, Papua New Guinea, the Phillipines, Hong Kong, and Peking [Beijing] was first published in 1914. This copy does not specify a publishing date, except to say "First Published in 1914". Contains numerous photo illustrations and maps of New Zealand, Australia, and the eastern portion of China. Octavo. Rose cloth-colored boards with title in gilt to front cover and spine. Spine has faded to tan. Text block is yellowed, and there is foxing throughout, especially around the blank margins of pages. 374 pages, including index, followed by a 31-page catalog of books offered by Methuen & Co.
