Paris: Sources, 1962. First edition. This elegant livre d'artiste features a complete suite of four full-page color etchings with aquatint by Zao Wou-Ki. These artist's proofs are outside the regular edition of 60, which was printed in two paper variants: the first 10 on Japon Impérial, the remaining 50 on Rives wove paper. The etchings were printed by Crommelynck, Paris, and published by Sources.
This particular copy is from a small number of additional hors commerce copies reserved for the artist, author, and publisher. It includes a signed autograph dedication by Zao Wou-Ki: "pour Madame Marie-Françoise Couturier, amicalement." The volume also contains a poetic text by Hubert Juin.
