Dalí’s signature etched frontispiece and twelve vivid color woodcuts present his singular interpretation of Lewis Carroll’s whimsical world, transforming its iconic characters through the dreamlike distortions of Surrealism. Each heliogravure is further enhanced with Dalí’s distinctive woodcut remarques, adding a unique, personal touch to every plate.
Dalí’s Alice in Wonderland remains one of the most remarkable artistic collaborations of the 20th century—his imagery amplifying the fantastical essence of Carroll’s tale through his unmistakable surrealist vision. The entire edition was limited to 2,500 copies on Mandeure paper, with only 200 deluxe copies issued with the signed etching and additional suite.
