Concertina, single folded sheet of three folds
1920 · France
France: MOG & Cie, 1920. Concertina, single folded sheet of three folds. Very Good. 23 samples of bands of paper fringe meant to decorate shelving. Tapers have a resemblance to lace and embroidered work. The salesman's sample catalogue has four panels that open concertina-style, and both sides of the panels are used. Five panels have four samples each, one panel, three specimens, and there is the title panel, which contains all the information to be found about the contents, and there is one blank -- the rear cover when the concertina is closed. Closed, the item is 25 by 16 cm. Fully stretched out, the width becomes 64 cm. N.d., circa 1920s or 30s. The samples are offered in five colors, and are sold in a box with five rolls, all of the same color (or presumably, the same item) of 10 meters each, according to the info on the title page. Next to each sample is a stamped product number, all four digits. The concertina has some color loss or browning to its overall green color. Light pencil notes on back cover which otherwise would be blank.
