by Sloan, George Marshll
Chicago. 1880. First Edition; First Printing. Hardcover. Very good+ with general wear and light foxing, 2 digs on the rear board and a few small tears at the head of the spine. A long poem condemning the oppression of the working class by the ruling class throughout history. The Latin translation of "telephone" is "distant voice." I like the idea that Sloan was using his poetry to transmit the voice of the working class. A scarce title. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 352 pp . (Inventory #: 34521)
