By Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. No binding. Near Fine. Los Angeles: Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, [ca. 1932]. Vintage original 8 x 10" (20 x 25 cm) black-and-white glossy silver gelatin photo. Minor creases and filled-in pinholes at corners, near fine.

The four legendary film comedians (clockwise from left: Stan Laurel, Buster Keaton, Oliver Hardy, Jimmy Durante) are photographed together for what appears to be a publicity event. Other photos from the same gathering show them playing cards.

At the time, Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy were appearing in the film Pack Up Your Troubles, while Buster Keaton and Jimmy Durante had formed a duo for The Passionate Plumber. All appear to be having quite the time, particularly an apparently inebriated Buster Keaton.

"On The MGM lot" is printed on verso.
