Some minor rubbing to board edges at spine and corners, very small bump to fore-edge front board, slight foxing to preliminaries; a near fine copy. One of eight hundred numbered copies, signed by Joyce. Preface by Padraic Colum. The British edition was published two years later. The first separate publication from Joyce’s Work in Progress following publications in various journals, including transition, Le Navire d’Argent and Two Worlds. Joyce was continually making changes and adding passages to the work up until its publication in 1939 as Finnegans Wake. Slocum and Cahoon A32.
