This humorous children’s poem by Sarah Catherine Martin (1768-1826) is delightfully illustrated with a pretty young woman rather than the more frequently seen old figure. Her dog’s antics are captured in verse and lively illustrations.
Dating the publication is based on the opening of Tuck’s Berlin office in 1907 and the designation of “Publisher’s to their Majesties, The King & Queen, & T.R.H. The Prince & Princess of Wales” 1901-1910. (Inventory #: 2167)
