Minor dust-soiling to lower right corner and along right edge, mild edge wear. A rare poster issued by the Mohawk Nation as part of a series of works under the title, Akwesasne Notes, during the United States Bicentennial in 1976. The illustration on the poster is best described by the explanatory caption at the bottom: "The photo is by Curtis, entitled 'The Rush Gatherer -- Arikara.' The Quote is from the book, Lame Deer, Seeker of Visions. This poster is one of a series available on heavy poster paper. Mohawk Nation...." The "Curtis" in question is Edward Curtis, legendary photographer of Native Americans.
